LEBEC THE NAME BEHIND THE BRAND
The ARTIST behind the brand “Lebec” formed her company after several years in the fashion and beauty industry. No, she isn’t a household name and hasn’t been in the limelight. But like many in the fashion and beauty industry she is a longtime veteran who has been behind the scene on many events and productions.
As Founder and Creative Director of lebec makeup atelier, she believes in mentor ship and customizing the learning experience.
Lebec started her career straight out of high school in 1976. Her journey began with Fine Arts in college. She soon realized it wasn’t the path for her and she enrolled in cosmetology. Eager to learn all she could from her training, Lebec, acquired knowledge from two separate institutions of cosmetology schools which gave her a strong identity. After working for a few hair salons both corporate and independent, she was given the opportunity by her parents to own and operate her own full service hair salon in Covina, Ca in the year of 1979.
“Education is fact and power” it confirms what you know and motivates you to learn what you haven’t! I continue to acquire knowledge from all types of learning experiences, not only for my personal growth but to stay on point with what is available for the individuals seeking training, says Lebec.
She joined Irvine and Louise Rusk in 1989 legends who formed an international beauty company known worldwide by the beauty trade and general consumer. Creating and applying her makeup designs for press releases, campaigns, product launches, educational & training videos and their theatrical stage performances. She continues to be active in participating with the Rusk inc. design team www.rusk1.com
Her resume speaks for itself with an A-list of celebrity names to being sought for her expertise to collaborate with international cosmetic companies. Her work is timeless and used to date by well-known photographers past and present for photo gallery exhibits. Working with top modeling agencies and fashion designers such as

It was an honor for Lebec when she was recruited to head and lead the Shu Uemura cosmetics flagship boutique in Soho New York in the year 2000. Mr. Shu Uemura is a iconic legend and has influenced the cosmetic industry as it is seen today.
Her seventeen years in New York City paved the way for Lebec to pursue and accomplish all her goals and dreams as a Professional Makeup Artist and industry leader. She has been recognized for her expertise and hands on experience to train staff for an optimum retail sales environment. To head and lead a makeup team for the fashion and beauty industry. I love what I do says Lebec, to share it with the aspiring or working makeup artist is a humbling opportunity.
